Pet Reiki sessions may take on a much freer form than human Reiki. Animals tend to receive the healing energy more like little children do: they move about, the healer connects from a distance, and tends to prefer a less formal approach. Let the pet be in control and come to the practitioner, not the other way around.

House calls are more likely, as animals are more comfortable in their home surroundings and will be less stressful.  This will likely to be more comfortable for the animal which is one of the goals for a Reiki session, for both owner and pet.

Distance Reiki for pets is also hugely helpful—and popular. Here your animal can remain in the comfort of your own home while the practitioner sends Reiki healing from a distance. Distance sessions can be particularly beneficial for horses, cows, and other large animals that aren’t easily transported.
